Watkins Meegan is pleased to be part of the formation of a new DC region chapter of the American Women’s Society of Certified Public Accountants. According to its website, the AWSCPA, “provides a supportive environment and valuable resources for members to achieve their personal and professional goals through various opportunities including leadership, networking and education.”

Six staff members of Watkins Meegan have volunteered to serve on the board of the new chapter. Stephanie Kelly serves as the chapter’s Vice President, Katie Madden is its Secretary, Megan Powers is the Membership Co-chair, Anne Sesso is the Marketing Chair, and Andrea Marinelli and Jessica Shuster are Events Co-chairs. All of these women participate in Watkins Meegan’s Women’s Leadership Initiative and are encouraging other women in the firm to join the new AWSCPA chapter.

It is a tremendous opportunity for the women in our firm to take a leadership role and share our experiences and lessons learned from our Women's Leadership Initiative.
